Barring an exceptionally wet winter, the Sierra is fully open. The Owens Valley starts heating up dramatically, but green and flowers are around. The base of the Eastern Sierra is a lush green, and the creeks are running at full capacity. The night sky is exceptional, and temperatures at night are much more comfortable.
